Interesting idea. I think a time component would be important here as well such as looking at when the most recent commit was so projects that have been quiet for a long time aren't as relevant. I have been thinking about monitoring the social component such as twitter. I know others have been doing this, but I haven't found a good platform to tie into yet. Does anyone know a good API for pulling social engagement data by token?
