First futures contract for XBTC on CBOE for March 2018, trades at $16,430

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

It is still very early into the new era of BTC Futures contracts.

Three hours into the opening trading session on Sunday evening, we see the first March 2018 contract trade at $16,430

And we already have 829 contracts for Jan 2018 trading with small uptick.

Certainly not the Big Short event that we had been lead to believe we would send BTC prices into the tank.

Futures are projecting, as an initial early view, slow price increases for BTC over next few months.

I'm not sure they have forecast the speed correctly.

But I like what the CBOE Futures are saying about the direction for BTC prices !!

I am not sure what to think of this actually creates honestly or it’s jsut another “game”

It's another game. They've taken a promising currency and sold it as a commodity. They are actually gambling that at a certain date, the price will be so much.
In my opinion, it diminishes the pure currency and cheapens it like lead.
But that always happens when you invest in money. That was the complaint of the fiat currencies. They held no value other than the paper they are printed on.
If they aren't careful, there won't be any faith in cryptocurrency.
It's all about greed.

A lot of the manipulations and derivatives and futures trading is all just a big game. BTC now part of the party.

They're just lining up the longs for the slaughterhouse! The big shorts will come, lets just hope we give these banksters a MOASS to deal with!

42!

Douglas Adams was asked many times why he chose the number 42. Many theories were proposed, including that 42 is 101010 in binary code, that light refracts through a water surface by 42 degrees to create a rainbow, that light requires 10−42 seconds to cross the diameter of a proton.[7] Adams rejected them all. On 3 November 1993, he gave this answer[8] on alt.fan.douglas-adams:
The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. Binary representations, base thirteen, Tibetan monks are all complete nonsense. I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought '42 will do' I typed it out. End of story.
Adams described his choice as 'a completely ordinary number, a number not just divisible by two but also six and seven. In fact it's the sort of number that you could without any fear introduce to your parents.

I didn't know any of that... but I secretly knew it... it had to be a joke, everything else he wrote was so amazingly hilariously ridiculous.

Thanks very good post !!!!

Awesome Work!

Keep it up!!!

I see a few bitcoins hidden in those eyebrows

true that ! ;o)

no idea what any of that means.
but UP is good.

Not what MSM was predicting. We've heard for weeks that once BTC is traded on futures markets, the shorts will come out and send the price way down.

Hasn't happened in first four hours of trading.

Let's see where we are at after we are four days into this new era.

when has the LameStream FakeNews Media ever been right?
They view their job as NOT to inform people, but to INFLUENCE them.

Wait until the weekend, when the futures market is closed and bitcoin starts its massive moves!😁👍

This is the weekend. Sunday here in USA. Not sure where you are from. Futures markets open on Sundays.

Monday afternoon here in Australia.
