Binance: Calm down, we haven’t been hacked
The big Hong Kong crypto-exchange Binance, has announced an issue yesterday regarding their database synchronizing and that they stopped trading until February 9th for maintenance, since then without further warning the site was taken down and still down until this present moment.
Since the website went down, rumours about it being hacked has been flying everywhere , that caused an enormous messages toward the administration board of the website, thus they replied to John Mcafee
In the last tweet from Binance as an update for the status of the exchange website, they posted a link to their support link: https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000737572 , with the System Upgrade Complete in the title as header.
Also for confirmation we can do a quick check on their Ethereum address thus believing them , the exchange have not been hacked, to check their wallet here : https://www.etherchain.org/account/3f5ce5fbfe3e9af3971dd833d26ba9b5c936f0be , currently holding 153 million USD
Conclusion : Calm down, they have not been hacked :)
