It varies, but you can see the prices on the map that I linked to. It's not the cheapest way to buy Bitcoin, but for newbies or a convenient method, it's fantastic!
I mostly use "Blockchain.info", but it has ridiculous prices and fees :-(
Yeah - it can be frustrating, but when you find a FIAT gateway you like that has decent fees - it's good.
I am thinking of maybe starting to do more P2P trades also - will report back if and when I try that! Keep an eye on my YouTube!
