Optimization in Bitcoin Core 0.14.0, trying to better optimize the validation process performed on the network. Meanwhile, the new version has also optimized the process of synchronization more effectively and quickly. This synchronization process is when nodes attempt to download the first blockchain on their device. Generally, the sync process takes a relatively long time. But with this new version, the process can run relatively faster.
One thing that speeds up the sync process is on this Core version, the valid block starts at block # 453354. What about the previous blocks? In this version, the entire blocks before block 453354, all have been considered valid. However, if the node wants to sync thoroughly since the first block, it can still be done.
At the crucial thing a few weeks ago, it was when it came to increasing the bitcoin consuming. Improvement of this mempool is as a result also the miners who prioritize transactions with higher costs.
In the new version of Bitcoin cores, some things have been improved, especially those that explain the set of custom rules relating to transaction fees. Meanwhile, the standard confirmation of 25 blocks is also reduced to only 6 blocks only.
The high transaction cost has initially been included in the bitcoin core 0.12.0. Since this version, bitcoin users can decide on higher cost rates for faster transactions to be confirmed.
Basically, the feature to add this transaction fee is already in the core version, but so far, only Electrum and GreenAddress can implement it on the wallet platform.
While in the new version, the feature of adding transaction fee is only possible on comman com via bitcoin core only. The addition of transaction fees that utilize the opt-in replace by fee feature can only be executed from the bitcoin core command line only.
