Seems like everyone is stepping on the BTC rocket. Investors are counting on history to repeat itself while anticipating the upcoming fork will credit them with worthy free coins. Meanwhile, the alt market is on double digit discount. The market is currently looking allot like July when Bitcoin forked into Bitcoin cash.

There is a possibility that the Segwit2x split in November is a failure. With that in mind, Bitcoin Gold would be there to pick up where Bitcoin left off if it was necessary. Think of it is a recovery or a backup for Bitcoin. - Cryptocoinmastery

The difference this time?

We have BTC cash for that already, and it's going down too.

Do you believe the pump for BTC gold will be higher than the price of BTC cash?

Even if that was the case, assuming you will receive the coins on time for the pump, this would be about 5-10% of BTC price.

Which is actually more profitable?

In the end, nobody knows, only time will tell. However, choosing top alt coins with more than 30% discount is a safer gamble than BTC gold price.

My conclusion

Lets be honest, BTC gold is just a fork trying to create money out of nothing. Psychology is different in crypto, cheap coins might be worth more than free coins. This is why I decided to buy cheap alt coins.

There are some great opportunities during these dips for example, buying Steemit for 1$ 😉
