Personally I think that 'MAIDSAFE' is the best altcoin to invest in right now. A decentalized internet, you just can't beat that.

I am holding MAID for few months now. Price is good. Other than trading, are there any other applications for MAID. I maybe totally ignorant here. Please do add if you are aware of anything.
Maidsafe are esntially trying to create a private and secure, decentralized version of the internet, Which includes and is not limited too, Cloud storage, website hosting and smart contracts. The currency itself will be the fual for the network by rewarding people for essentially renting out some of their free hardrive space to the network (Farming). This currency can then be traded, exchanged or used to buy network space. High levels of encryption will be implemented into the network so that no readable piece of information would ever be stored on one persons hardrive. This currency is truly revelutionary. Although It's still in development, It's not far off completion and when it is finished and in full swing, I expect that the value of the currency will skyrocket :)
