After all, Coinbase will be supporting Bitcoin Cash and everyone who has Bitcoin on Coinbase will get their Bitcoin Cash.
Before the Bitcoin Cash fork, Coinbase said that they will not be supporting Bitcoin Cash on August 1st. However, Coinbase has confirmed that they will be supporting Bitcoin Cash in the near future. The exact time is unknown but it is expected that they will support it before January 2018. Everyone with Bitcoins on Coinbase on August 1st will get their Bitcoin Cash as soon as they implement it on their platform. During this time the Bitcoin Cash will be stored by Coinbase.

Unfortunately, this means you will have no access to your Bitcoin cash for at least a few months. If the price of Bitcoin Cash rises then great but there is a possibility that it can drop due to the high volatility of crpytocurrencies and the uncertain future of Bitcoin cash.
Bitcoin cash has been fluctuating quite a bit from $200-$700 and it is hard to predict what its price will be like in the future.
