Bitcoin seems unaffected by any bad news!
Is the bitcoin unaffected by anything? Even after countries like China, Korea and today Vietnam who came out today trying to forbid any payments in bitcoins, the bitcoin exchange rate seems unaffected. In fact it has been going through the roof ever since!
Try and guess what will happen to the dollar when oil can be paid in any currency, right it will crash. What will happen to the price of a share of a company that has just been forbidden, correct it will collapse. Not so for the bitcoin!
At the time of writing this article the bitcoin price is set at 5720 euro another breaking record.
Where will it end?
Ps. Steem still doesn’t move much though.
Does anybody knows what happens if steem doubles in price? Do you earnings double as well?

Everyone is waiting for the outcome of the fork; nothing else matters at this points, not even China.
Only the price of steem when you sale really matters
Bitcoin is not affected because there is no bad news. China is a non story because they arent banning it...they never were. The Chinese government wants to control (read own) the miners and exchanges. That is exactly what they are doing. The other two really dont matter since their percentage of world population and commerce is low compared to the overall.
As for STEEM, if the price doubles, your rewards are halved. All rewards are listed in dollars hence the conversion to SP is half if the price is doubled.
So Steem low is better for faster SP build up?
I misunderstood. Not likely since the rewards pool is set by the algorithm hence is designed to put out a certain number of STEEM out each day. That number does not depend upon price.
However, with the price lower, anything you convert to steem, whether fiat or crypto will get more steem at the lower levels.
Plus you should share in a larger percentage of the rewards pool each day since there are fewer people on here than will be, presumably, down the road.
There is an advantage to being in early.
