ANALYSIS SEGREGATED WITNESS BITCOINsteemCreated with Sketch.

What is Segwit?
Segwit is a process of blockchain bitcoin block block expansion.
How to increase block size: By removing the private key data of Bitcoin transactions, the Private Key accounts for 65% of the volume of a transaction. This frees Block's space to allow it to hold more transactions.
Segregate means segregation, witness, and transaction signature. Therefore, splitting Witness: means to separate transaction signatures.
This is like L / C operation in international payment.
Buyers and sellers trade goods together.
The seller's bank pays the buyer, when the transaction documents are confirmed that the seller has shipped the goods as prescribed to the buyer.
This form of trading has helped the global trade to develop quickly and safely.

Analyze the situation Segwit?
There are several types of sigwit:
Segregated Witness (SF): Detailed technical content can be found here

UASF (BIP 148): technical content can be viewed here

Emergent Consensus: technical content see here

SegWit2x (NYA): details see here

According to my assessment, Segwit (SF) will be successful soon because:
The re-sigwit (SF) backbone has big backers: from major trading floors, miners, and large wallet systems. With the current note rate across the network is 86.7%.
Other forms of SW are not very feasible and the number of notes across the network is not high.
So why are there many organizations that perform different types of segwit?
Just like bitcoin unlimited they want to eat under the BTC brand and make another currency on the BTC platform.
Is Hard Fork the same as ETH and ETC in the past year?
The capacity is low because bitcoin block rates are mainly found in bitcoin Core and Segwit (SF)

The picture helps. Thanks and please follow back.

If the private keys are not stores in the block anymore, where are they stored? Or are they thrown away? Is it still safe then? How come?

the private key not lost And safe
It remains in the bitcoin blockchain network
