RE: BitShares (BTS) LONG TERM FORECAST...$342!!

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Admire the enthusiasm, but it took Apple about 40 years to reach $800 billion valuation, they sell 200mm phones per year at $700 per phone, they employ something like 45,000 people in the US directly/indirectly, and they've endured a LOT of hardship along the way.

So forgive the skepticism on bitshares token reaching a valuation of $800 billion, but if you're calling for that we think you need to at LEAST provide some metrics on the progress of the OpenLedger exchange. The volumes on it seem quite lite, can you at least do a chart on how those volumes have progressed in the past year, and compare to OTHER de-centralized exchanges like Localbitcoin or Bisq or the probably 3 dozen new ones popping up every month?

for $800 billion calls, we're just saying you need to do a bit more work than just an Elliott Wave chart.

10 months ago, 2017.12.15 @haejin predicted BTS will go to $340 usd
and many cheered and some skeptical.

Now 2018.10.02. BTS is $0.11usd,
and the total market cap ranking is dropping.

Interesting prediction and interesting responses.
Need to see later again.

Who is this "WE" you speak of?

Lmao. None of those platforms come close. Your comparing apples with a walnut tree. Doesn’t compare. Plus Apple is falling off. He does strictly sentiment. Your talking fundamentals. He doesn’t do fundamentals kid.

Understood, you're correct. However, at a dark alleyway meeting ground in the heart of Cryptotown, Fundamentals and Sentiment/Charting MUST meet and fight it out. Fundamentals is like Rocky Marciano-- never lost a fight over a career!

i mined protoshares, i had bitshares x, i have been buying bts when it was 4 for penny...
and i still buy BTS everyday, this is from fundamentals and research on the team and my belief in dan and stan.....i recently found haejin a little over a month ago...when my fundamentals and research have kept me to stay with BTS for this many years and a technical analyst who looks from only a sentiment view i have double confirmation...
so im not here to convince you if you comparing everything with coins in the marketcap now your wrong with wall street and mass adoption and the billionherocampaign that will be kicking off soon. the marketsize will increase massively plus when USDT goes belly up there will be a rush for smartcoins pegged to fiat currencies like bitUSD... how is bitUSD made? with BTS in a collaterized smart contract loan...BTS DEX is a SMART COIN FACTORY not just an exchange...also its BANK...also its decentralized and cannot be shut down by any government entity...if US exchanges get shut down then more go to the DEX....and when USDT tanks so will the exchange backing it bitfinex...then we have more rushing to the DEX...

tt, you're the perfect person to ask then, as we've been researching BitShares and OpenLedger for quite some time and not yet arrived at a conclusion. Here's our questions:

#1 Withdrawal Fees
For small-timers, it's nothing to get in, but quite expensive to get out, no? We calculated it was 10-20% of funds to withdraw, but maybe we didn't use big enough numbers?
#2 If crypto suffers a big fall (like today) that last awhile, say months and very deep percentages, how will that effect the smartcoins trading on pegs inside DEX? Because if people pull their money out of Open Ledger, that means they're selling bitshares too, and that means there's less bitshares to support the pegs, so it could all fail in a "1929-event", no?
#3 Is the exchange OpenLedger, or DEX? We see people say DEX all the time, and it confuses us. Are they the same thing?
#4 Volumes on the exchange
Since OpenLedger doesn't seem to make most exchange lists you see, do you have anything which charts how their volume growth has been since inception? Curious to see adoption, but hard to go to OpenLedger every day and take a new temperature.

We are VERY interested in BitShares, fundamentally, so any info is appreciated since you obviously know it quite well for a long time.

You might be interested to check out https://www.blocktivity.info/ to find some answers on #4. I found some really helpful data there to do some calculating on volume growth myself.

Knowledge DROPPED!

Not just an exchange, Smart Coin Factory!

Funny thing is.....I don't think TA's feel like it's a battle at all. I think we're pretty happy with our methods and results. We'd love to help more people make more money, but I'm not in the business of telling other people they aren't correct in their methods.....I mean...The charts do that just fine on their own.

@harpooninvestor Read this and see the future. When you add this news to the fact that any bitasset creation on bitshares (bitUSD, bitCNY, bitOIL, bitSILVER, bit whatever asset you want, requires locking 2X at minimum the equivalent value in bitshares in a smart contract thus reducing the available supply of bts and increasing its price, you'll see the light at the end of haejin's ta tunnel.

Too bad that AriseBank is was founded by two known scammers Jared Rice and Stanley Ford
who stole about 200,000$ from clients of their shell company "Bit of Glory". Probably scammed a lot more peoply with other fake companies.

Got any court documents or are your accusations baseless?

Only some months ago Bitcoin could be bought for $3k.

Only some months ago it could be bought for under $1k!

Only one year ago it was worth 1/35 of it current price 500$

Haha....."What are the chances of a girl like me and a guy like you getting together?" "Uhhh 1 in a million..." "SO YOU'RE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE!"

the marketcap doesn't have to be that high for the price to go that high. Since bitshares are taken out of circulation and locked in a smart contract every time someone takes out a bitAsset loan(like bitUSD/bitCNY) The available liquid supply at any given moment (the bts not locked up in smart contracts) of bitshares is the number of bts coins you'd need to work with to find marketcap and price level. Everyone realizes you can take a 0% interest loan and repay back anytime as long as you lock up your bts as collateral, right? When people find this out as the bts price rises, more and more will be locking up their bts as collateral making the price rise even more.

Really ? I wasn't aware any of that was possible - I really need to read up further on BTS - your other post about a crypto backed by precious metal would be very interesting too !

@batfinkler was actually announced this evening. https://medium.com/@michaelx777/bitshares-and-arise-team-up-the-worlds-first-decentralized-bank-and-exchange-join-forces-db5b81369aa7

This is frigen huge...now we don't have to worry about the centralized exchanges shutting down our wallets and banks shutting down our accounts when we try to move the Fiat...I hope everyone realizes how big this is...that was the weak Achilles heal in my opinion and something i mentioned online is the fact that the banks could collude with the governments and not allow people to go into fiat from crypto...this is big news

Totally agree!!! When all of this is seen through, it will be the biggest deal in crypto history.

Crypto will be money, while Apple is one company.

It could happen that with the EOS success, people will trust bitshares more as the standard decentralized exchange since it's made by the same creator.
