What Will Be the Hottest Sector in the Crypto Markets Next Year?

Here is a list of the different sectors of the Cryptocurrency markets and the approximate market caps.

Today We Are Going to Focus on Lending.

Currently the lending market in Crypto is miniscule compared to the overall market. Sitting at just .10% of the market or 1/2 $Billion. What is about to happen in the Crypto space could possibly launch the lending sector of Crypto to the moon.

SALT Lending

SALT lets you leverage your blockchain assets to secure cash loans. We make it easy to get money without having to sell your favorite investment.

When I first heard about SALT it was in my Crypto Trading group where Shawn Owen the CEO of SALT is a member. He offered everyone in our group to join the ICO very early on. At the time I was not participating in ICO's so I passed on the offer. A few months later and I was in full FOMO mode. Why did I pass on this huge opportunity? So I went out and bought a large chunk of SALT at full retail price.

Once I understood the concept of SALT I saw why it would be such an exciting long term play for my Cryptocurrency holdings. Then a few weeks back I was privileged to spend some time with Shawn Owen at the Latin American Bitcoin Conference in Bogota, Colombia.

That time with Shawn really opened my eyes to the future of Lending in the Cryptocurrency space. He also mentioned that the platform will be ready to launch very soon. This Tweet from Salt Lending says in December.

EthLend

Fully decentralized peer to peer lending on the Ethereum Blockchain.

Now due to my massive FOMO from missing out on making huge profits on SALT I began to look for another project in the Cryptocurrency lending space. I stumbled upon EthLend. I really can't recall how I found them but I literally found them the day their Pre-ICO began. I was not going to miss out on this type of opportunity again! I bought my ETHLend at $.01 each and I am not selling. I am HODLing my LEND.

While we were attending SteemFest in Portugal we met Jordan Lazaro Gustave (Head of Management) for ETHLend. I recognized him from the website and said, "hey ETHLend guy!" Jordan told me what the project was doing and how they were attending conferences across Europe spreading the good news of ETHLend. The project ended up selling out their ICO.

Why Do I Believe Lending Will Explode in Value in 2018?

So many people I know are sitting on large amounts of CryptoCurrency. The value of their HODLings has exponentially grown in 2017. Now they want to do something with their profits but they do not want to sell their Crypto. Anyone who is serious about Crypto knows how difficult it is to sell.

How HODLers React When They Need to Sell Some Crypto.

Now we have lending programs like SALT and ETHLend where we can deposit some of our Crypto without selling. This will enable the community the ability to access funds in the traditional financial markets for such things as houses, cars, crypto mining equipment, capital for business expenses etc. This is huge! I know how much I hated having to sell my Bitcoin and other CryptoCurrencies, over the last few years, to pay expenses.

What I am Doing.

On December 11th I wrote my article, "6 Lesser Known Crypto Coins and Tokens That Could Be Big Gainers in 2018." where I first wrote about Ethlend. At the time is was priced around $.03 it has more than doubled since then. SALT on the other hand has been on a consistent uptrend since mid November.

Prepare for a huge 2018 for these tokens! This is not financial advice but my personal trades.

Very interesting! I have not check in to the lending crypto idea much but i will research it more now.

Thanks for info @hilarski ....salt and ethlend could be a good choice of 2018...

@hilarski I bought lend also around 1cent ,I canr wait till lend will explode ✔✔😉 thanks for the post 🙂

lol I am totally like Danny DeVito

@hilarski ! Whoa man, what a blast from the past! Glad to see your posts again (I've only been away from Steemit for a couple of months, but time flies in crypto land).

You're actually making a great point with the lending platforms, however I just invested all of my liquid crypto, including all of my Bitcoin to other altcoins, which I plan to hodl for the long run, therefore I won't be investing in the actual tokens.

However I might be using them, since I'm so keen on not selling any of my positions right now, and having absolutely nothing to spare, I might just lend out some of my coins, to get access to some liquid funds fast.

Thanks a lot for this post, and for your support! (Yes, I do remember the time I was on your SteemVoter list, I really appreciated that man!) Keep it up!

Welcome back! I have really toned down SteemVoter since HF 19. It really messed up my game.

Thanks! Glad to be back. I'm very focused and a lot more experienced now in the crypto world. The time I was away I really learned a lot, had a lot of time to think about a few strategies, and I'm more confident than ever, especially going into 2018.

I've gained skills on technical analysis that I want to start both refining and using - practice makes perfect. I am thinking of doing a beginner series into candle stick patterns and then start doing some technical analysis for different coins.

Anyway, I always write essays in my comments. I have no problem with SteemVoter myself, other than people don't get to see the post just upvote blindly. But I do use up all of my slots in there, and it proved to gain me some nice curation rewards while I was gone :)

I am going to look further into Salt. I keep seeing it pop up. Thanks for the additional info.

Good idea ; )

Completely agree on this one @hilarski. Especially STEEM holders, aside from the appreciation of Value, Just keeping STEEM in STEEM Power gives us SP on top of SBDs that authors earn. Why sell?

Bought my SALT at $2.50 :)

Smarter than me!

got my PPT at $3 too, But I did trade my Dash for neo at 1:10 :( hoping that'll flip eventually

Great entry point!

very nice post, we can use your daily publications on this subject, to be certain to make the right decision.....@hilarski.

Well, I sure appreciate the heads up on those coins, but I would really need to some of my own research on them before making any moves.

I guess the part that would scare me the most, as either a borrower or lender, would be the potential enormous volatility of the underlying crypto used as collateral. Would a huge spike down trigger some kind of sell, kind of like a margin call on a security?

OMG you really opened my eyes dear @hilarski. I really appreciate your approach that you are sharing the real picture towards community. Otherwise most of the people don't bother it, they hide such news. I have invested in some coins and definitely I will HODL them till my target achieve. I heard about salt coin but never tried to invest in it. But honestly speaking this coin is now out of range for me. You mentioned another coin ETHLend This is till in range and I must invest in it. Thanks for your positive thoughts towards community. Keep it up and Stay Blessed!
