Will Bitcoin and Blockchain change the world?
It already has.
I don't think bitcoin gained critical attraction until it reached all new highs these past couple months. And with that interest now being focused on these Initial Coin Offerings (ICO's) and Alt-coins, it seems as though memetically, to me, a more democratic socialized way of life is emerging.
The interesting thing about this is that because of the genius of the Blockchain technology, thoughts and ideas, that would otherwise go unnoticed, now have financial backing as a result of the initial coin offerings where coins, and tokens are sold to the public for less than pennies on the dollar to fund their ideas.
Most of these Alt coins aren't necessarily meant to be money, like the Basic Attention Token (BAT). A token supported by the Brave Platform, a decentralized, add, and tracker blocking web browser, that, get this, will pay you in BAT for keeping the adds on, now i recently tried using the platform to create this steemit account, and it continuously crashed on me when trying to do so. It'ss distribution system for BAT's is still in production as well. Like i said, these ideas are great, but this isn't always a good thing, and anyone in the industry will tell you to do your research before you invest in anything. A LOT of these ICO's and Alt-coins aren't meant for anything, and a lot of them have ripped off unsuspecting investors.
Which brings me to my next great idea, and possible investment, is Quantstamp (QSP). " Quantstamp is the first scalable security-audit protocol designed to find vulnerabilities in Ethereum smart contracts."
https://quantstamp.com/
The fact that it incorporates scalability , with security is one of the obvious reasons it may be considered a great idea.
They have an amazing team with a large amount of experience in their fields.
They also have a very extensive timeline that they've been executing diligently.
With the imminent oncoming of the information age digital security is going to be a very lucrative market.
The information age has with it, virtual reality, and with the increase of technological advances VR is going to be the next gaming venture. Decentraland probably the first VR world to use an ICO to fund their project. They recently had an auction where they sold VR land for their MANA token.
https://decentraland.org/
As VR becomes more integrated in human life, Decentraland looks to be a titan in the gaming industry, and theyve recently partnered with Ripio Credit Network (RCN), a peer to peer credit network based on cosign smart contracts like Ethereum. you can check that out here: https://ripiocredit.network/
Other games based off of the Blockchain network are Crypto Kitties, and CyberPunks.
Unlike the token, or coin, these are collectibles that are non fungible randomized, and accounted for by the Ether network. Non fungible means each one has different attributes that determine its worth.
To play the games you have to install MetaMask and load up on some ethereum, but the game seems lucratives, especially if you get a rare kitten, or punk. However, thats not the most interesting part, these games can be viewed as experiments on how to apply the Ether network and Blockchain technology to realworld items, which could possibly lead to faster forms of asset liquidation.
This was my first "Article" let me know what you all think, dont be too harsh, im here to learn as well!
maybe blockchain will innovate..but most of these coins are crap..i can make one in 15min
I downloaded coin market app not too long ago and there was hundreds of different of coins and tokens. A lot of them had great ideas, but i need a lil' more security than that :P
I think they will, and i think it being opensource is making the industry even more competitive, im enjoying where this is going!
