Celebrating the 7th anniversary of Bitcoin Pizza day.
On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz bought 2 pizzas in what is now recognized as the first true Bitcoin transaction and the most expensive pizza's ever bought.
Our family will be celebrating Bitcoin pizza day for the first time this year, and we plan to add it permanently to out families special events. Back in December 2016, we specifically set aside 0.05 BTC for Bitcoin pizza day, 1/200,000th of the amount Laszlo paid for his pizzas. That small amount of Bitcoin can now purchase more then 15 pizzas!
We plan to invite friends and family which are unacquainted with Bitcoin, and introduce them to the freedom that this technology brings, along with feeding them some delicious Pizza.
We'd love to hear how you are planning to celebrate Bitcoin Pizza day, so please comment and tell us your story.
I had forgotten that was today.
Don't worry, it's still 10 days away.
Very interesting to know!
What if the bitcoin prices go down? Will you still use bitcoin to buy pizzas?
Yes we will use Bitcoin, I totally expect the price to reach $2300 soon
So for the one pizza you buy today, with bitcoin...
At 2300, you can almost buy a 1.5 pizza, isn't it?
So why not wait?
Silly I know. But I have never used my bits to buy anything.
You could, but it's all about saying you bought Pizza with Bitcoin.
