RE: Are Bitcoin Bubbles Predictable?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

As I see it. Bitcoin can only survive in the medium term by giving an equivalent of a dividend return. I expect people think that the 'dividend' will be in the shape of it just increasing ad infinitum. This is highly unlikely and since it doesn't earn any money or grow any food or provide clothing and shelter etc. etc. nor does it have a large company or country backing it, how can it be of value. No good comparing it to a piece of art which may increase in value for years to come. That is because humans admire art and in some cases genuine rarity. Would a coin on a wall really do as well even if you pretend it is rare?
