Does anyone actually feel richer after covid?!
The narrative was that they printed too much money and helped people too much, but that's not quite right...
Have you been hearing the narrative around inflation lately?!
You know, the one where they say the goverment printed way too much stimulus money and gave people way too much money not to work and that's why we have the problems we have with inflation.
Beyond the fact that supply chain disruptions were the main driver, the majority of people didn't get "way too much money".
It mostly went like this:

No one getting these checks ever got rich.
Their fat cat buddies who didn't need it in the first place got rich while we got peanuts.
Now they try to blame us for the problems...
How about you try to stimulate the economy to counter the main inflationary drivers, like incentives to grow food, drill for oil, or bonuses for people actually working in order to help bring prices down for all those things?!
It's understandable that many people may not feel financially richer after the COVID-19 pandemic, as it has had a significant impact on the economy and many individuals have faced financial challenges as a result. However, it's important to recognize that wealth is not just about financial resources. The pandemic has also brought about new opportunities for personal growth and development, as well as the opportunity to spend more time with loved ones and prioritize what truly matters in life. It's important to focus on the positive aspects of our lives and find ways to be grateful, even in difficult circumstances.
I'm certainly not richer, but it did offer a nice confirmation that being self-employed and working from home was a right decision in the first place. And my wife and I definitely enjoyed spending a lot more time together.
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
Yes I feel richer.
Richer in experience and knowledge.
:-D
You know, I've thought exactly the same. Good you voiced the thought and by your upvote amount despite what American liberal says, obviously everyone agrees with you and me. LOL
I spent a LOT more time with family and friends, and opened up work from home as 80% of my work. overall it was a net positive.
