I'm pretty sure it died few weeks ago... But my point was that Hive Engine pretty much run the same code, even some of the dialog texts were unchanged... When the chains became too incompatible, they did shutdown Steem Engine and kept Hive Engine only. Now some Hive Engine tokens are switching to Aeneas blockchain or some other alternatives because Hive Engine doesn't scale up to the demands. I see some people defending Hive Engine, saying that it was never meant to be this popular, or become full-fledged token exchange.

There is still hive-engine that runs on the hive blockchain though right?

Yes... But some people have claimed that it has become slow and unusable... In my opinion it does have some bugs, but it's hardly unusable yet...

I haven't tried using it in a long time, so can't say.

I mostly use Hive Engine when I'm playing some blockchain games.
