Kucoin offers rewards for holding their token KCS and for inviting new users.“The Kucoin bonus is granted by holding Kucoin Shares (KCS) on the Exchange. You will not get the bonus if your KCS are held on an external wallet. This bonus is distributed at 00:00 UTC+8 daily over a period of several hours and is calculated by the amount of Kucoin Shares you hold. You will be credited with a split of 50% of the total trading fees charged by the Exchange. You can calculate your bonus at Kucoinshares.com. 

This bonus will be adjusted when the volume grows, however will never be reduced below 15%. It will stay at 50% for a minimum of 6 months. (Ending March 2018)”

The circulating supply is 100M. Calculation is: Your KCS/100,000,000 KCS * 0.002 Trading fees * 50% (later 15%) * daily exchange volume. All depends on the daily volume. The higher the volume the higher the bonus you get. So if the Kucoin exchange volume increases the KCS price will follow.

My estimation to Kucoins future:

It is very likely that Kucoin will follow in Binance’s footsteps. The key to Binance’s rapid growth ($2.7 billion 24h volume gain in 5 month) was aggressive marketing and that they listed top post ICO coins. Looks like Kucoin follows the same patterns ($7M 24h volume -> $56M 24h volume in 2 weeks), since they have strong marketing (referral program) and managed to list top post ICO coins (e.g. RPX, Request, HST, Utrust, Dent, Dragonchain, DeepBrain Chain, Qlink…)
