To start, Bitfinex, one of the biggest exchanges of criptomoedas in the world and the one with greater volume of negotiation of bitcoin, announced today, in a post in its blog, that it is officially adopting SegWit.

BITFINEX NOW SUPPORTS SEGWIT FOR LOWEST BTC RATES AND FASTER PROCESSING TIMES.

The post saimages (3).jpegys: "Today, Bitfinex is pleased to announce support for bitcoin deposits and withdrawals using P2SH Segregated Witness (SegWit) addresses. SegWit is an enhancement to the Bitcoin protocol that facilitates scalability. The implementation of SegWit means that Bitfinex users can benefit from lower BTC withdrawal rates (approximately 15%) and improved processing times in transactions on the Bitcoin network.

For those who use Bitfinex, it is necessary to generate a new depot address to receive their SegWit address, which starts with the number 3.

Wallet Bitcoin Core

In addition to Bitfinex, the older bitcoin portfolio, the Bitcoin Core development team, also announces full support for SegWit, which will come with version 0.16.0.

Coinbase

The most expected company to implement SegWit, without a doubt, is Coinbase. Earlier in the month, they had already confirmed that they were conducting the final tests for implementation.

Today, however, they said on twitter that the company's engineering team has finalized the SegWit tests and will enter the launch phase within the next few days, scheduled to launch mid-week.images (2).jpeg
