On January 6, 2017, "Banking on Bitcoin" a feature film on bitcoin, its history and future hits the big screen. The film, produced by Gravitas Ventures, gives in-depth insights from the bitcoin's early pioneers.

In which, the pioneers-cum-casts featured in the film share their revolutionary cryptocurrency technology ideas.
To add, the film also tackles the ideological disagreements between the fringe utopians and mainstream capitalists.
"Banking on Bitcoin’s" Trailer Unfolds
The trailer talks about the time when Wall Street fell, and bitcoin began to surface. It sets you thinking with this teaser,
"For hundreds of years, we've government-issued money... In 2008, I [the narrator] became somewhat obsessed with why was it that our money was controlled by central bank..."
The film touches on how groups of coders, libertarians, counterculture people, VCs, and a mix of everyone else come together to create the largest social economic experiment never seen before. Bitcoin gives freedom for any use- the good and the bad.
Movie goers can expect to re-live notable events such as the Mt. Gox's bankruptcy and the Darknet's Silk Road. As well as topics about how some forward thinker-cum-entrepreneur like Shrem who got jailed for involvement in money laundering.

Since the initial development, bitcoin has managed to gain an increasing amount of traction- from notorious cyber-criminals, the general public, 'hostages' of financial crisis, to regulators looking to allow bitcoin's invention to grow in a 'safe' environment.
And now filmmaker.
Time and time again, bitcoin proved to be resilient to its many 'deaths' and emerged stronger- in value and in fame.
