An overview of the high growth benchmark of Bluzelle in M2 (February) of 2021
About Bluzelle
Bluzelle is a distributed open-source service database for Web3. Powered by a robust combination of blockchains that are customised specifically for database operations, Bluzelle enable decentralized application (dApps) to store their data on its secure, decentralized and immutable database.
Essentially, Bluzelle is a short-let apartment that allows developers to access its decentralized database to develop and store dApps for a fee. It has an advanced data delivery network which ensures the protection of data stored on the database from network failures, data breaches and performance troubles.
Major Achievements
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, quite a number of ventures have been finding it hard to stay afloat. However, this is not the case with Bluzelle, as the data network has numerous achievements to its name just mid-way through the first quarter of 2021. In fact, in February alone, Bluzelle has executed ten major feats. The notable achievements amongst these are:
**
Bluzelle Mainnet Launch: On February 3rd, as at exactly 00:00 UTC, the Bluzelle mainnet took off with 20.8M BLZ tokens staked on it. The mainnet is basically a decentralized storage of database for storing data by program developers on Bluzelle. With the launch of its mainnet, Bluzelle completed one phase of its development and is therefore ready to begin another.
The mainnet launch is indeed a very big achievement for Bluzelle as the data network’s mainnet is core to everything it aims to achieve for Web 3.0. It is worthy of note that other applications and products, whether built on Bluzelle or on an ecosystem developer/partner, will be running on the mainnet.
Launch of the Developer Grant Program for Censorship-Resistant Applications: In a bid to ensure that developers are properly motivated to develop more applications that would resist censorship of any kind, Bluzelle launched its first Developer Grant Program on February 2nd. To implement competitiveness and efficiency, a reward of up to $500,000 USD (in BLZ tokens) was set aside to support innovative use cases that can benefit from Bluzelle’s unique decentralized database.
The goal of blockchain technologies and decentralized infrastructure products such as the Bluzelle data network is to increase transparency, enhance security and prevent censorship. To ensure this, there is a need for programs targeted at supporting and developing innovative use cases. Through its Developer Grant Program, Bluzelle is already at the forefront of implementing this.
Presentation of a New Roadmap for 2021/2022: In a bid to implement its aim of becoming the topmost database for data storage and management, Bluzelle has yet again presented its stakeholders and the general public with its 2021/2022 key goals and milestones. The presentation, which highlights the data network’s objectives, is focused on mainnet feature upgrade, Oracles development & the integration of Polkadot. Notable among these focus areas is the mainnet feature upgrade which is the most important target of Bluzelle.
Other Notable Achievements
- Named “Best Altcoins in 2021” by Yahoo Finance along with its partners Elrond & Reef Finance
- Featured on CoinDesk for being a core member of the Cosmos ecosystem.
- BLZ price reached a new recent peak at $0.26 on 17th Feb.
- 56.16k new BLZ Addresses, 1.1k+ new addresses added from the past month (according to Binance Research).
- 46.9k Twitter followers, 2.5k+ increase in a month. Two times increase in profile visits and mentions.
Conclusion
Choosing a database for the storage and management of dApps data has been a major issue for developers. However, due to its security, censorship-proof nature, tamper-proof nature and high scalability, Bluzelle has been the preferred choice of database amongst dApps developers.
Currently, the data network is in the process of developing data feeds and Oracles for the next phase of its evolution to help bring about a faster and more secure internet. Hence, dApps developers can take advantage of the service offering of the Bluzelle database to store and manage dApps data efficiently.
