Kraken's clients filed to the exchange in court

Regarding the Kitex exchange, Kraken was sued due to May events - DDoS attack and massive loss of funds by users.

In less than two months, five stock exchange clients blamed her staff for negligence, breach of contract and improper enrichment at their expense, arguing that Kraken was supposed to suspend trading as a result of a Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that affected her activity.

Claimants from the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom sued Payward Inc., the owner of the stock exchange, the only defendant in this case. Five clients of the exchange lost 3,414,078 ETH in total, the dollar equivalent of which at that time amounted to approximately $ 329,000, since the price of the air at that time was at $ 96.32.

Postings in social networks at that moment indicate that, as a result of the attack, the course of the ether on the stock market dropped sharply to a minimum of $ 26, which led to a wave of liquidations.

As a result, some customers complained about unfair manipulation of the course from the stock exchange, because at a mass sale at dumped prices people lost a significant part of their profits. The next day, Kraken published a statement about the incident, stating that the internal investigation "did not find evidence of a coordinated attack or market manipulation" and that its internal systems functioned normally.

Then, having apologized for the losses incurred by the users, the exchange said that "it can not compensate traders for the result of occurring on the market or loss due to the inevitable attacks of DDoS."

When CoinDesk attempts to comment on these events, representatives of Kraken refused to give their date.
