I like the message behind this, but it does not take into account the fact that we currently lose over 200 species per day due to premature Extinction. So no, humans aren't next, as we'll lose at least 200 today alone... But premature Extinction due to human activity will eventually destabilize the ecosystem to such a point that human life will no longer be sustainable. So yes, we will extinct ourselves into Extinction if we aren't careful...
