Google joins Yahoo by offering bitcoin prices

Update (12 June 17:30 BSST): A spokesman from Google said: "We've added a few coins from Google Finance, from the Italian Corona to Bitcoin in the East Caribbean Dollar we're always working to provide financial information more for people."

Google Finance has introduced a Bitcoin Prices Trekker, providing market information in several major orders currencies and breaking news access to digital currencies in the world.

Users can use prices in BTC / USD market, as well as Pound Sterling, Yen, Euro, Rankmini, Australian Dollar and Canadian Dollar market prices.

This tool also helps in the historical value review back in June 2013.

Simple design

The tool is similar to many Yahoo! Money tools, though it uses different layout scripts for graphs and news tickers. However, Yahoo! Finance does not offer Bitcoin price conversion in other currencies.

Google strengthens relations with Bitcoin

The new tool is probably the most direct integration with some aspects of Bitcoin in Google's part. In the past, Google's leadership members have been informed that in the meantime, some of the search giant will be able to accept Bitcoin.

In March, Google's thinking director Zard Cohen commented on Austin's SXSW conference in Texas that "inevitable" in digital currency. At the same time, he speculated if Bitcoin itself would prove to be the top digital coin or a bloggate for a lot to come.
