get your Bitcoin Cash from many wallet/software/services
Hi all I wanted to share this article with you since its really helpful
its from coinomi wallet blog :
While we enjoy being market leaders, we still believe synergy and cooperation is the best way forward for all involved companies and teams in the space. We thank the user HostFast from BitcoinTalk forum for supplying the following extensive guide on how to transfer your pre-fork BTC from other wallets to Coinomi and claim your free BCH. The original link is provided in the bottom of the page.
[The following concern only wallets that were funded with BTC prior to the fork (block 478558), and sweeped or about to be sweeped into Coinomi after the fork.]
Consider this example:
This BTC address contained some BTC prior to the fork:
https://blockchain.info/address/16CjpzQFJri3hZdr9KrSe8k6ydFZE676QC
At the fork, the forked BCH can be seen in the excact same address in the BCH explorer:
http://blockdozer.com/insight/address/16CjpzQFJri3hZdr9KrSe8k6ydFZE676QC
If you sweep a wallet from any of the providers and services listed below, the original address will be emptied and the BTC will be transfered to a new Coinomi address. (Read More) This new address did NOT contain BTC at the time of the fork, and adding a BCH wallet in Coinomi as per our pre-fork instructions will not show you your split coins.
Things are even easier now.
- Extract your private keys for your pre-fork BTC coins by following the appropriate steps in the list of providers below. For most of them you will need to download the standalone bip39 tool we've attached in this article. Please save it on your desktop, and double click it to run it.
