The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is announced that they are developing a new global standard to enable one-click secure online shopping .
The new payment method will include bitcoin , ethereum and and other altcoin.

W3C is working with Google, Apple, Facebook and other leading e-commerce to improve online payment processes.
The new API will work on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge
the benefits will be :

  • A better checkout experience for users, particularly on mobile devices. The standards should facilitate automation, one approach to improving the user experience.

  • Streamlined payment flow, which is expected to reduce the percentage of transactions abandoned prior to completion ("shopping cart abandonment").

  • Easier adoption of payment instrument improvements (e.g., related to security) or new payment instruments.

  • Added value through machine-readable digital payment requests and payment responses.

What do you think? will it give the next boost to the cryptocoins?

This needs to happen. I worry a bit about the corporate involvement but then again, how else does it happen?
