As you may have heard, it was first to be believed if the BitCoin community went to SegWit because it would only be a "Soft Fork". Now however, it appears due to volume and complexity, it will now, some are suggesting that the current blockchain has to be "Hard Forked", into a separate blockchain.

Let me be clear. BitCoin will be forked on August 1st, 2017. ----this is a fact.

This can bring great uncertainty and dire consequences . Now to add more uncertainty, a third party is brought in to help facilitate the demand and transition into this separate chain. UASF (User-Activated Soft Fork).

For a good read: I found an article with some good information, here it is below:

Users who are concerned about the UASF should take some precautions right now. Any funds stored in an online wallet or exchange need to be withdrawn to a desktop, mobile, or hardware wallet as soon as possible. Most companies will upgrade to accommodate the UASF and keep funds safe, but it is a good idea to make sure funds are in your control before the August 1st deadline hits.

Another alternative that I've read that is being circulated in the forums, BitCoin Holders are considering moving their holdings into "LiteCoin" an already SegWit activated coin to reduce their risk.

Which If you ask me, I strongly believe is a safe bet. If your trying to preserve and grow your wealth. The price is sitting around $23-24 , with massive and strong development and road map. It has been said, not only by me, to be the most undervalued coin on the market.

If your a BitCoin enthusiast, I would strongly recommend to atleast consider this alternative and other options if you so please. You can either store your keys in a hard wallet and roll the dice and hope all goes well with miners and China or reduce your risk by parking your money to another coin that is similar and that already has SegWit without a hiccup or major disagreements in the community, and that is greatly undervalued.

Whatever you decide to do, August 1 , 2017 is your deadline. Be proactive.

Grow this article and treat it as a forum, as I too am holding BitCoin, am a crypto enthusiast, who is trying to help by providing you a platform to have a discussion with a very passionate community to see that both LiteCoin and BitCoin thrive. Because as a community, as we share our opinion and thoughts, the cryptocommunity grows stronger.
