I have a ton of ideas, but the fact that people around here would even suggest that BTC is the “one true project to rule them all” is delusion, plain and simple - little more needs to be said.

Just in same way many in other crypto currency subreddits write-off BTC, nobody should write-off competitors and those that have broken new ground. 20 years of working in technology tells me is that the only thing that is certain is change and disruption.

It all depends on the level of risk you are willing to take, a smart portfolio has multiple levels of risk. How much risk? well thats up to you. Thats half the fun :p
