LEDGER NANO X IS COMING TO ANDROID

Ledger, the French manufacturer of cryptocurrency wallet hardware, announced the launch of a mobile application for some of its products.

Call Ledger Live, the application includes a mobile version compatible with Android and iOS of the previously released desktop, according to the company's report.

According to the post in his blog, the application allows its users of Ledger Nano X wallets to use these wallets without using cables, but only with their mobile devices and a Bluetooth connection.

The first version of this application will mainly serve Nano X users, while those using Nano S or Ledger Blue will only be able to review the balance information in a so-called "query mode".

However, the company promised that it would launch a version with full functionality for all its users later, but in the case of Nano S, they will have to use an Android phone to communicate with their wallet, this because that wallet has no Bluetooth connection, so you need to use a USB cable. On this, the company commented:

"In the future, users of Ledger Nano S (exclusively with Android smartphones) will only be able to make transactions through a USB cable. We are trying to make the mobile version have all the functions that the desktop version had. "

The Ledger application has several similarities compared to the solutions of its competitors such as the Trezor Bridge interface, launched last year.

Currently, the Trezor version leans more towards desktop use, since the mobile version is very limited compared to the original version.

This initiative to lean towards the use of mobiles arises in response to the growing popularity among cryptocurrency investors who want to protect their reserves from online attacks.
