What Famous People are Saying About Bitcoin
The people of the planet have done it! Most of us are taking our first steps towards a global financial revolution of the people and for the people - personally I am thrilled to partake in this massive change. It is mostly the non-mainstream 'alternative thinkers' that are passionate about Bitcoin, but they are not the only ones - recently, Peter Thiel, the creator of Paypal publicly shared his views and thoughts on this hugely popular cryptocoin.
It’s not just Peter, either; business leaders, entrepreneurs and other prominent figures in the technological industry are all beginning to discuss the importance of Bitcoin as a real alternative to fiat that we are used to having in our wallets. Let’s see what the greatest minds in the world are saying about Bitcoin, shall we?
Peter Thiel - Co-founder, Paypal
"I do think Bitcoin is the first (encrypted money) that has the potential to do something like change the world."
Paul Bucheit - Creator of Gmail
"Bitcoin may be the TCP/IP of money."
Bill Gates - Founder of Microsoft
"I think Bitcoin is a techno tour de force."
Eric Schmidt - CEO, Google
"Bitcoin is a remarkable cryptographic achievement and the ability to create something that is not duplicable in the digital world has tremendous value."
John McAfee - Founder of McAfee Inc.
"You cant stop things like Bitcoin. It will be everywhere and the world will have to adjust. World Governments will have to readjust."
Tyler Winklevoss - Co-founder & CEO Gemeni.com
"We have elected to put our money and faith in a mathematical framework that is free of politics and human error."
Richard Brandson - Founder, Virgin
"Virgin Galactic is a bold entrepreneurial technology. Its driving a revolution and Bitcoin is doing the same when it comes to inventing a new currency."
Ron Paul - Republican Texas Congressman and former US Presidential candidate
"I understand the political ramifications of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and I think that government should stay out of them and they should be perfectly legal."
Al Gore - 45th Vice President of the United States
"I think the fact that within the Bitcoin universe an algorithm replaces the functions of [the government]... is actually pretty cool. I am a big fan of Bitcoin."
Jim Rickards - American lawyer, Economist and Investment Banker
"Gold is a great way to preserve wealth, but it is hard to move around. You do need some kind of alternative and Bitcoin fits the bill. I'm not surprised to see that happening."
Nassim Taleb - Essayist, Scholar, Statistician and risk analyst
"Bitcoin is the beginning of something great: a currency without a government, something necessary and imperative."
Roger Ver - Bitcoin Angel Investor and Entrepreneur
"Bitcoin is the most important invention in the history of the world since the internet."
Julian Assange - Founder, Wikileaks
"Bitcoin actually has the balance and incentives right, and that is why it is starting to take off."
So these are just a few of the 'famous' speaking their minds about the new form of digital currency, Bitcoin. Love them or hate them, they all have an opinion and are aware of what Bitcoin could mean in the scope of 'money' as we have been used to these past decades. Things are changing and Bitcoin is not going away - if anything the 'bitcoin movement' is getting stronger and more mainstream.
