STEEMItlanta - November Bitcoin Workshop/Q&A Was Powerful

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Greetings Steem Family!!

I'm happy to say my monthly local Bitcoin Workshops are still going strong!

This is our 3rd so far and we are maintaining a good turnout. Roughly 15 people were present to ask questions, build and share information. I'm still just scratching the surface with the information because most of the attendees are relatively new to cryptocurrency.

Here's an outline of what we covered during the workshop.

Basic Strategies

  • Buy & hold (HODL)
  • Buy low, sell high & Setting Buy/Sell Orders
  • ICOs (HIGH-RISK)

BitConnect

What to look for in Altcoins?

  • Listed on CoinMarketCap
  • Life Span
  • Active Blockchain
  • Use Case/Innovation
  • Coin Scarcity
  • Team
  • Community

CoinMarketCap.com & Altcoin review

  • Ethereum - ETH
  • Litecoin - LTC
  • STEEM
  • EOS
  • Bitcoin Cash - BCH
  • BitConnect - BCC
  • SALT
  • IOTA
  • NEO + GAS
  • Binance Coin - BNB

For now I'm keeping the focus on the basics. A lot of individuals jump into crypto without knowing basic fundamentals that should be learned and applied before a penny is spent. The crypto space is not a place for the soft-hearted so it's better if people are at least equipped with some knowledge to defend their pockets.

If you guys have any suggestions as far as some other basics I should cover at these meet-ups please leave a comment.
