Bitcoin or Litecoin?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Hi friends,

Asking for some opinions on which crypto currency is likely to rise to become the better daily utility coin, or put another way, to be used as future money in daily transactions.... (** lets assume that the world manages to crush central banks and their fiat Ponzi schemes **)

I know that bitcoin has its scaling issues and whilst it may get faster and cheaper in a couple of months, can it really beat litecoin, which is very fast in my experience.

I've heard a few people talk about Bitcoin being like gold, a store of value, and Litecoin being for daily transactions. What do you think?

I'm wary of any cryptos which are centralized in any way, but I'm still a beginner in the crypto space so am happy to learn.

Would really appreciate hearing from you all.

Thank you

Considering that the only way to buy almost all (over 700!) of the current coins is with BTC, I think it will be around for a while.
It's difficult to predict a winner long term, but always a good idea to diversify.

Thanks, appreciate reply

Who knows... could be Bitcoin. Could be Litecoin. Could be Dash. I'm sure there are a few other potentials. Oh yeah... could be Gulden ;)

Bitcoin will remain relevant for sure up until all coins are mined. People holding Bitcoin want an need that to happen. Price will surge for a while at that point. Then people will get rich and convert to fiat. Bitcoin will not be the coin to massively used I think though just because of the transaction speed. It's too slow. Who know how much they lower that time...

Looking at transaction speed, litecoin and dash win.

Thanks. I agree about the speed limiting BTC.
