Twitter Larang Iklan Mata Uang Virtual, Harga Bitcoin Makin Anjlok

** NEW YORK **, - The price of the bitcoin virtual currency dropped at least 7 percent on Monday (26/3/2018) local time. The cause is a wave of regulatory uncertainty over weeks and advertising bans by technology companies.

Quoting CNBC, Tuesday (27/3/2018), bitcoin traded at the level of nearly 7,886 US dollars or equivalent about Rp 108.3 million. Based on Coinbase data, this position is much lower than the previous day's position.

Since the beginning of this year, bitcoin prices have plummeted more than 42 percent. At the beginning of 2018, bitcoin prices are still perched at the level of 13,000 US dollars.

On Monday, Twitter announced it would ban virtual currency advertising. This step has previously been done by Google and Facebook to prevent crime rates in initial coin issuance (ICO).

"The news related to the ban (advertisement) Twitter seems to be a significant contributor to the sell-off," said Timothy Tam, founder of the CoinFi platform.

This year, bitcoin prices plummeted after news of an advertisement ban announcement. Bitcoin prices slumped 12 percent by the end of January 2018 after Facebook, the world's second-largest online advertising service provider, said it would ban all ads promoting virtual currency

Later, Google announced its financial service update update in March 2018. Google will ban virtual currency ads and related content starting June 2018.

NEW YORK, - Harga mata uang virtual bitcoin anjlok setidaknya 7 persen pada Senin (26/3/2018) waktu setempat. Penyebabnya adalah gelombang ketidakpastian pengaturan selama berpekan-pekan dan pelarangan iklan oleh perusahaan teknologi.

Mengutip CNBC, Selasa (27/3/2018), bitcoin diperdagangkan pada level hampir 7.886 dollar AS atau setara sekitar Rp 108,3 juta. Berdasarkan data Coinbase, posisi ini jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan posisi sehari sebelumnya.

Sejak awal tahun ini, harga bitcoin sudah anjlok lebih dari 42 persen. Di permulaan tahun 2018, harga bitcoin masih bertengger di level 13.000 dollar AS.

Pada Senin waktu setempat, Twitter mengumumkan bakal melarang iklan mata uang virtual. Langkah ini sebelumnya telah dilakukan oleh Google dan Facebook untuk mencegah tingkat kejahatan dalam penerbitan koin perdana (initial coin offering/ICO).

"Berita terkait larangan (iklan) Twitter tampaknya adalah kontributor signifikan aksi jual secara dalam," ujar Timothy Tam, pendiri platform CoinFi.

Pada tahun ini, harga bitcoin anjlok setelah ada kabar pengumuman larangan iklan. Harga bitcoin merosot 12 persen pada akhir Januari 2018 setelah Facebook, penyedia layanan iklan online terbesar kedua dunia, menyatakan bakal melarang semua iklan yang mempromosikan mata uang virtual

Kemudian, Google mengumumkan pembaruan kebijakan layanan keuangannya pada Maret 2018. Google akan melarang iklan mata uang virtual dan konten terkait mulai Juni 2018.
