Samsung manufactures processors for Bitcoin mining equipment
Now Samsung has also begun producing Bitcoin mining equipment.
According to The Bell, the design for ASIC processors was completed last year and this month began mass production, broadcasts Koha.net. These processors were sent to an unidentified company in China.
An analyst from Samsung Securities said that ASIC production takes only a small part of the company's capacity. So this can affect the production of other processors.
However, this is a victory for Samsung. For example, the BitMain AntMiner processor (one of the largest Bitcoin mining equipment manufacturers) exceeds TSMC (16 nm processor). Samsung has not shown what connection it is using for its Bitcoin processors.
Also, the company has recently started mass production of the GDDR6 processor, which will be an aid to the mining of GPU-based cryptoclaves (bitcoin mining in the GPU is a lost cause but is the most popular option for Etherum) .
