Business Dude Going Crypto and Risking Everything ++My Journey++ ---->>>STEEM BITCOIN

in #bitcoin7 years ago

I am a small business owner in the united states and I decided to go into crypto currency. There are times in my business when I may have 5, 10 or 15K laying around in my bank account doing nothing. So I decided that I would hold my company's money in Bitcoin instead of US Dollars. Now I only leave a small amount of operating capital in my $ business bank account and store the rest as bitcoin. I have benefited from that but I am aware that this will cause an accounting nightmare for my taxes. But I decided to do it anyway because bitcoin was designed as a tool to take back control of the value we create so I decided to stop being afraid to take control over my money. The dollar system is so confining. Now I can store my value in any form that I choose.

So a couple of weeks ago I began the process and once I got all my coins, my dollar value soared. But soon I developed a strong desire to hold Steem. So I converted some Bitcoin into STEEM. I missed the big move from like 30 cents to a dollar but I caught a little dip and I have decided to hold the STEEM for a month or so then go back to Bitcoin. Today is a big day for me because I got some STEEM. Really, I would like to power up all of my STEEM but I have to be liquid. Things happen in business and I need constant access to my money. I don't even know how to get out of STEEM at the moment but I will spend this week formulating and testing my exit strategy. But I will tell you that navigating in the crypto space is very liberating for me. It inspires monetary creativity and now I can actually see the money in my mind. I see abstract shapes when I think of how to expand my value and its such a fun and empowering thing. When I looked at my Bitcoin balance I felt rich this morning. Then I purchased STEEM with some of my Bitcoin and I felt vulnerable and I began questioning myself. I said to myself, why couldn't you be satisfied holding Bitcoin. That's risky enough since you are using company money. Why are you rolling the dice with the company money on this STEEM stuff. Then I found myself becoming very angry at myself. Whats wrong with you? Are a speculator, or a businessman? Then as I saw the STEEM price recover I felt at ease again. I believe STEEM has real value and a revolutionary business model. I am a former YouTube content creator and I saw how YouTube threw the content creators under the bus when its precious ad revenue was jeopardized. I never monetized my channel, but I was told by other content creators that many people's revenue decreased by up to 90%. I think the ad revenue model will die and Steemit's business model is far better. So I deleted my youtube channel and now I am going to be posting here on Steemit. I also deleted my Facebook. I don't know how often I will be posting, but I'm invested in STEEM and I'm sick and tired of YouTube and Facebook. So here I am on Steemit and I'm all in.

Crypto is true monetary freedom and I am enjoying my journey.
