Awesomeness!!
So your friend wants to teach financial independence? Definitely something that is required in this word!!!
Looking froward to the Q&A's!!
Quick q - any specific reason you using BitPay as your wallet? If I'm not mistaken - you don't hold the private keys on BitPay (me and my paranoia...)

Only use Bitpay as a fiat gateway. As the classes progress, we will cover hardware wallets like Trezor. The BitPay is only used as a way to get Bitcoin converted to US dollars, as a subsititute for Coinbase, which I never want to use again.
These are baby steps! Most of the people will have never done a Bitcoin trx, ever in their lives!
I only use Bitpay when I want it converted to dollars. I don't store it in the wallet.
What debit fiat card would you recommend? I have used Bitpay and am happy with their service.

Just curious about never wanting to use Coinbase again? It seems people either love it or hate it, and I can say from first hand experience it's frustrating when they are down during peak volatility times...is that the reason? Besides that, it seems pretty solid to me (besides getting verified a HUUUGE pain in the you know what).

Ah!! I see, I guess that's good for transferring to and from fiat currency.
I use an exchange Luno here in South Africa for exchanging to and from fiat currency.
I personally have not used a debit card as yet but am "hoping" that Monaco eventually gets their card launched...
As far as wallets are concerned - I like bitWallet on my iPhone (got a lot of features for the more advanced user and also shows you your private keys). And then I use proper paper wallets (with BIP38 encrypted private keys) stored in multiple locations for any large amounts :)

And I see BitPay just added Coinbase integration - oops :(

About my friend, she is a visionary. And she, like me, works on many different things at once. Her real estate business is booming, and she's finally got enough income to expand her visions into other areas. She was a trainer also....and many other things...

Wow! Sounds awesome!! Great to see people out there that have such amazing minds and brilliant ideas!!!
I really do wish her the best :)

I like your thinking. Perhaps when I have been here a year I will consider doing something like this for my community. I do not have the strength of knowledge for a steem/btc/crypto school to teach anyone. I enjoy your posts, and will learn from your experiences. Thank you @stellabelle

@stellabelle ... very helpful material. Thank you
I follow and upvoted you. I'll be happy if you upvote some of my post's

Wow, this will be SO awesome! My wife and I live in KC (36th and Rainbow) and are super excited about this. Can't wait to come learn and interact with all the like-minded people!

Believe me, I am glad to find local people finally in Steemit! It's been about a year for me in here, and I'm ready now to form real physical groups.....the school idea will be great, like a new thing!

I agree. I've been involved in the crypto space (investing primarily) for about a year now, but am relatively new to Steemit! Really looking forward to learning more at the bitcoin school :)

Yes, awesome! I only found you just now! I look forward to meeting you!

Awesome! I'm in the KC area and will be there too! :)

This would be a great course for online learning!!!

Perhaps a future course could be presented to an online audience?

hello will you please upload video of those classes on your youtube channel? I would love to learn more about cryptocurrency from you.

there's a lot of demand for video, so it appears that i'll be doing that, or finding a volunteer

That is so nice of you and will be really helpful for so many of us! :)

Best of luck to you, my friend! If I didn't have gigs during these times, I would most definitely be there. Excited for you to bring the magic of financial independence education to Kansas City. This is so exciting. I hope your turnout is amazing.

I will try to make this! Depends on a few factors. Your altruism is inspiring.

altrusim mixed with self-preservation.

Sounds like a great opportunity to learn more about this exciting development in money/exchange systems. I plan to attend and have invited Todd, my son and Tate, my grandson to attend too. See you Saturday, ~ljl~

ok, great! Sounds good! Franny is turning the Emerald City into a training center, as you know, so it looks like our Emerald City is going to be morphed into something where we can all get together and learn stuff! I am so happy she's doing this cuz it was so sad when Emerald City died!

Good job I hope to continue with this fantastic work
