Getting Started with Bitcoin

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Bitcoin is the future of currency that will bring about not just decentralization but also transparency.
Bitcoin is the only liquid currency that is appreciating with time (vs USD, KES, GBP). This is because it is not an inflationary currency as only 21million Bitcoins will ever be produced.
You can purchase a fraction of bitcoin (Satoshi) equivalent to 0.00000001 bitcoin.

To get started, simply download a Bitcoin wallet e.g Bitcoin Core or Electrum or use a Multi-currency wallet e.g. Jaxx or Exodus (Much on this later) if you plan on holding different cryptocurrencies or trading (watch out for my article on this) in crypto.

Once you download a wallet either to your PC or smartphone, check out my article https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@stevekiarie/bitcoin-in-kenya on where to purchase bitcoin in Kenya.

You can simply buy bitcoin straight to your wallet and pay for it through MPesa.
