Send Money Now in 9 More Currencies with Bitwala using Bitcoin + Altcoin (Steem)
Following our announcement on supporting the Japanese Yen and Mexican Peso, we are pleased to introduce 9 new local currencies to our line up. It is now possible for anyone to use Bitwala and make international money transfers from Bitcoin or Altcoins to local bank accounts in Australian Dollars (AUD), Brazilian Real (BRL), Chinese Yen (CNY), Japanese Yen (JPY), Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), Mexican Peso (MXN), Philippine Peso (PHP), South Korea Won (KRW), and last but not least the Vietnamese Dong (VND).
How long it takes
Our team has worked hard to make sending money globally faster and much, much cheaper using Bitcoin and Altcoins. Sending money in AUD, BRL, CNY, JPY, MYR, MXN, PHP, KRW, and VND has never been faster with an ETA average of 1 business day. Check out our detailed service structure below:
* Our transfer timeframe is based on the average time it takes for a transaction to reflect on your recipient’s side.
** Be aware that intermediary and/or recipient banks might charge additional fees and we usually can’t take over that fee while using shared costs (SHA).
What this means for you
As a Bitwala customer, you can enjoy making the fastest and cheapest international money transfers in the supported currencies at a flat 0.5% fee. Our exchange rate is updated around the clock, offering you the best value when sending money abroad. No ugly surprises, no gross overcharges, no hidden fees.
Our aim at Bitwala is to make living on Bitcoin or Altcoins an easy possibility. You could be a migrant worker who often send money to your family back home, a freelancer who simply wants to get paid faster, or just an average Joe or plain Jane who prefers to live exclusively on Bitcoin or Altcoins, our products, features and services are created for you.
We’re going international
With these new currencies under our belt, we now support a total of 20 currencies including CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HUF, HRK, PLN, SEK, and USD. SEPA transfers within EU are performed within one working day while SWIFT transfers take between 2 to 3 business days on average. Money transfers performed on weekends or public holidays may result in a hold-up.
Are you still active on here? I'm looking to get your debit card and to fund it with Steem. Do I need Bitcoin to pay for it initially?
