Bitcoin Diggers
Bitcoin is produced by solving a mathematical problem involving a series of complex algorithmic calculations on a computer. Not just any computer can also be used to perform activities called "mine" Bitcoin this. It might just consume electricity, while none of Bitcoin is produced. Due to the increasing difficulty level of mining Bitcoin, it takes a special kind of computer that can complete the mining process faster than regular desktop. This computer did not have to be large and expensive. There is also a USB dongle-shaped like Redfury. Redfury is the world's fastest-claimed miner Bitcoin miner with computing power of around 2.5 Gigahash (the ability to complete the math calculations used as the performance benchmark for Bitcoin miner). The people behind it were members of the Indonesian Bitcoin Community (IBC). "In the past, the fastest was a similar product from China with 0.3 Gigahash, but now Redfury is the highest," said Tiyo Triyanto from IBC. To use it, the user just connect Redfury to the computer via USB port, then run the mining program. "The computer does not have to be tight, enough netbook or similar to save electricity," said Tiyo.
Bitcoin can indeed be broken up into smaller units, eg 0.01 BTC known as "centibit", and 0.001 BTC called "milibit". This is necessary because the value of Bitcoin that can touch the thousands of US dollars lately lets make it less practical to use in small value transactions. The Redfury valued around Rp 1.5 million. This miner can be obtained through a number of resellers and forums of buying and selling online or community. Tiyo said that the first batch of Redfury produced by 3,000 units for now is sold out. The secret of Redfury's speed lies in the ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) chip that specializes in mining Bitcoin. ASIC, called Tiyo, has a more qualified and more power-efficient performance than other Bitcoin mining solutions. "Before ASIC, people use the CPU, then a large GPU circuit, then after that FPGA, now to get a similar performance with a small ASIC," Tiyo explained. Despite producing Bitcoin miner devices in Indonesia, he admitted that most Redfury buyers come from abroad. "Maybe only 10 percent of buyers from Indonesia.Bitcoin is more rampant on the outside and not so well known here." Bitcoin itself was originally designed to produce only a limited amount of 21 million pieces. Currently it is about half of that number mined and circulated. Over time, Bitcoin predicted can not be "dug" again in the year 2140.
