Payza Becomes The First Payment Network To Accept BitcoinsteemCreated with Sketch.

Payza is a payment network like paypal. In fact if you type in paypal vs in the search engine payza will come up under stripe. I looked the site up on Alexa and payza is currently 5,984. That is pretty good considering that is taking all the websites in the world into account. It is obviously not as big as Paypal, which is the number 76 website in the world, but it as a payment network non-the-less. And on their site there are third party shopping carts that you can integrate into your site.

It is now accepting Bitcoin. You can put bitcoin in the wallet directly and send/receive it like you would cash. You no longer need a bitcoin wallet separately, it can now all be done with this one network. The bitcoin transactions cost 1.2%, which is not bad. It can add up but you are paying for convenience and that is a reasonable price. According to the article, you can also convert your bitcoin to fiat and that is a pretty great feature. This makes bitcoin as useful as cash.

When it comes to bitcoin (and other currencies, like steem, woot) the thing that is going to bring them into the mainstream is usability. People need to be able to buy it, sell it and use it as easy as money. That means swiping a card for fast food, taking out money at a machine and using it to make digital payments. All with just bitcoin. With a service like Payza we take care of the digital payments and digital payments are becoming the norm. Now we need more and more places that accept Payza as they do paypal

Or maybe paypal will be next...

Nice post @whatageek. "When it comes to bitcoin (and other currencies, like steem, woot) the thing that is going to bring them into the mainstream is usability." I couldn't agree more. Let's keep are fingers crossed, maybe Paypal will accept BTC soon.

Agreed, that would be huge.

Let's hope that more and more businesses will accept cryptocurrencies ...after all this is the future

Yep, or they create a gateway that makes it as easy to use as a credit card.

Awesome. Love hearing websites integrate crypto as a payment method. Big things on the way!

Good news.
This is an important step in building up usability. It's not that easy to be #1. I cant wait to see who comes next (#2)

I think we are going to see some real growth this year.
