RE: Excited to be trading Bitcoin Cash!

in #bitcoincash7 years ago (edited)

It's a tough call at the moment. BTC has the first adopters advantage and is the only well-known name to the outside world. People don't really understand the differences between the two coins at first glance. I think the real test of the future will come in Nov when there could be another potential fork on BTC. Until then, BCH will be another "altcoin" to the masses, even though BCH is more aligned with Satoshis's vision. There's also the issues with Segwit itself, but that's another matter.

Well said, yeah the coming November deadline is really interesting. I hope it doesn't result in another fork. I've been reading up on the crypto world almost obsessively for the last month or two and I'm loving wrapping my mind around it all. Lately I've been kind of following Roger Ver and his opinions about the fork; the things he is saying about Satoshi's original vision are quite compelling. I'm not against Segwit, but it is outside of the white paper. That said, bitcoin has the first adopters advantage but will have to keep up with new developments in order to stay valid in the long run. I mean who uses MySpace or NetScape anymore right? Interesting stuff!

Yep exactly, BTC has maintained this majority level for many years, but as we move into the next era, it's any one's guess where the road will lead.
