EBAY IS "SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING" ACCEPTING BITCOINS AS A METHOD OF PAYMENT
The well-known online auction store, Ebay could accept payments in bitcoins and cryptocurrencies. Although this goal has not yet been met, a senior company executive said they would be "seriously considering" this possibility. It was the eBay Americas senior vice president, Scott Cutler, who issued these statements. The company is "seriously considering" accepting bitcoin, but "we have not yet achieved it," he said in an interview with Yahoo Finance. In this way, Ebay would join a rather exclusive list: that of retailers that accept bitcoin as payment method. Overstock.com became the first major retailer to accept bitcoin in early 2014, being a pioneer in the cryptographic world.
