its backe dby real Bitcoin in a msart contract yeah? or it just backed by bitshares?

    Open.BTC is an Open Ledger asset. Open Ledger is a gateway, exchange, portal or entrance point onto the BTS block chain. So it is backed by them. I would refer you to their website linked above for all the details.
