Life in Godfather's Gulch
Remember that all of the heroes in Atlas Shrugged did not stop working after they shrugged out to Galt's Gulch. Nay, they were even more invigorated and productive there. Half Mile High Meadows is no different. I already feel a surge of new strength and new possibilities that will contribute mightily to the growth of BitShares and the whole digital currency industry. It's amazing what energy is released when you don't waste time reasoning with the unreasonable!
So as I said in The Godfather Shrugged, I am not through with BitShares and I will continue to post here about many things. I will also be stepping up my articles, interviews and public appearances... all for the benefit of the BitShares ecosystem.
But I'm not going to talk about projects in their vulnerable infancy. I'm going to Starve the Monkeys and get on with changing the world.

As a founding figUre in this ecosystem I imagine watching the fires this month must have felt really bad. You’re a strong and smart dude. Stan is it possible that we all start promoting BTS as coin for payments beside all other things that BTS can do? It is fastest coin and it is pity using it only for DEX. With username accounts it would be much easier to use for payments than other coins.
You certainly could, but there are better choices. BitAssets like bitUSD, bitEUR, bitCNY and the HERO are designed to be stable and spendable - in three seconds, just like BTS. Then there's the Quint, a gold backed asset from Quintric. Wish I could tell you about that!
I agree that they are also good but don't you think than BTS as main Bitshares ecosystem coin would be more adopted worldwide if it is possible to pay for things with it and I am sure that it will open doors for bitUSD,bitEUR,bitCNY, HERO and all others?
I think it's the other way around, bitUSD and co would open doors for BitShares. Especially now that a lot of people are questioning tether.
Of course, there's that tiny little problem where everything you do with your funds is 100% transparent for the world to see on the bitshares blockchain.
Maybe that shop will give you a better price now that they know you have $50000 bitUSD sitting there..

This has always been one of the major possible users of Bitshares, unfortunately without confidential/private transactions, it was always unlikely that there would be consumer mass-adoption.
It sure does make a lot more sense than paying with volatile crypto (unless the merchant has an uncharacteristic appetite for risk). But unfortunately, the privacy thing.

It's good to know that you will keep writing about Bitshares. Steem and Bitshares are two currencies that went up in in last two months. I remember Steem was $0.87 and Bitshares was around $0.20. There seems a lot of potential in both. Steem On!
Yes,Bitshares is a protocol of exchange of assets and decentralized value. The great innovation offered by Bitshares is to allow the creation of BitAssets (tokens derived from the main blockchain) indexed on "real values"

But I just want to ask why are most currency or let me be direct why is steem and sbd falling with bitcoin?
Everything is priced in bitcoin. If bitcoin falls wrt USD, there is an immediate fall in everything else until the market inefficiently adjusts.
