Fees Collected on the BitShares blockchain through June 2017

Introduction

To assist BitShares stakeholders with understanding the source and quantity of fees that are collected by the network, a report has been prepared that covers the collected fees since the blockchain's inception in October 2015 through June 2017. Note that the fees collected are the fees paid by users for operations that they submitted. A summary of the report appears below.

All Time

The quantity of operations and transactions, regardless of which asset was used to pay the operational fee, are plotted below on a monthly basis.

The BTS fees collected since the inception of the blockchain are plotted below. Note that a fee paid in BTS does not necessarily mean that the operation itself involved BTS. For example, the fee to transfer BTS could be paid for in BTS, bitUSD, or any other asset. It just happens to be that the majority of fees are paid for in BTS.

The leading distribution of operational fees paid/collected with BTS were as follows:

Operation Type% of Total BTS
Asset create49%
Account upgrade25%
Account create17%
Limit order create4%
Transfer2%
Asset publish feed1%
Witness create1%
Witness balance withdrawal1%

June 2017

During the month, 1.60 million BTS were collected for 9.32 million operations (within 2.60 million transactions) on the blockchain.

The leading distribution of operational fees paid/collected with BTS were as follows:

Operation Type% of Total BTS
Asset create64%
Account upgrade16%
Account create14%
Limit order create3%
Transfer1%

Correction to April 2017 report

Recently, an error was identified in the prior report for the collected fees report for April 2017. The error involved the incorrect aggregation of the witness create fees with the asset publish feed fees. This aggregation had the result of inflating the asset publish feed fees while suppressing the witness create fees. No other results were affected by this error. This error was caused by a typo in the reporting software and has been fixed.

The April report has been corrected.

9.32 million operations in a month and most people still have no idea what Bitshares is or does. I can't wait until Bitshares goes mainstream...

Do transfer operations account for filled orders?

No. Filled operations are related to limit orders. Any single limit order might have (a) zero filled operations, (b) 1 filled operation, or (c) multiple filled operations; this all depends on the order books while the limit order is active.

This is a very detailed report! Bitshares is really making a profit and growing exponentially. The DEX is a very powerful exchange and continues to impress me with its efficiency and versatility. In addition coins like whaleshares and BuildTeam are exclusive to the platform.

coinbase tried charging me 3.99% no chance , gone to etoro very good
