BitShares Blockchain Foundation
It's my pleasure to now let everyone know that we are working on a BitShares Blockchain Foundation.
The official web page can be found on
The foundation starts with 3 major "services":
- Public Announcements on the Webpage (like incident reporting)
- Public and Private mailing lists for witnesses, proxies, exchanges, committee, developers
- bitUSD worker escrow management
It is also our pleasure that we are going to start with Peter Conrad's worker that is going to implement BSIP18 for bitasset recovery.
Of course, we are hoping for the worker to be accepted and approved by the BitShares shareholders once it is created.
@all: Please register you email address with the mailing lists you are most interested in joining. Those mailing lists are public (except a
few foundation internal and security related lists) and archived on http://lists.bitshares.foundation.
Looking forward to grow BitShares to it's true potential!
This is a much needed project. I wish you great success in its implementation and I look forward to using it as a reference!
Let be friend and mutually encourage and support of each other!

thanks for the info
I have an account with some shares but don't feel that it's as easy to use as say coinbase. However, I'm trying to figure it out. I hope it has potential, I have been reading about investing more into it in the case in goes up in price overnight.
We are well aware of the lack of usability for most people ..
Great to hear @xeroc!
Great work @xeroc!
Regarding the mailinglists, could there perhaps be one for 3rd-party-dev chat, or would dev troubleshooting fall under development?
Keep up the great work!
Well, the foundation won't do "support" .. we do however plan to have a mailing list for 3rd party projects but don't think we can handle those right now already.
do you need my help in some areas?
I am sorry for my ignorance... but what is it for? I don't get the idea :(
If you're familiar with Bitshares,
