Tuesday Tips

This is a sight we love here in the Old Pueblo. Clouded sky and GREEN in the desert hills. In my area just to the left of this hill, one rainfall collector logged an amazing 5.17″ in ONE WEEK! And all this after WEEKS of great and terrible temperatures above 105°!

What a great hymn by Daniel Webster Whittle…I love the last stanza:

“There shall be showers of blessing, oh that today they might fall; Now as to God we’re confessing, now as on Jesus we call!”

We are all guaranteed to see tribulations in our life, and someday all over and above this troubled earth. In Luke 21:25-28 Jesus gives us a vision of hope amidst great worldwide distress as He promises certain redemption from great and terrible signs on the earth:

“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

However hot the day, whatever troubles your way;

Look UP, find hope in the Provider, salvation is not far away.
