I face this everyday as the comments pour in and people engage with my content.

I started learning about blogging since 2011, but I still feel I am not good enough.

This imposter syndrome affects some of the best and brightest minds on the planet.

This feelings of living a fraudulent life make us see ourselves as cheats, and if it is not checked it can reduce the quality of our work over time.

And this have adverse effects on Authority building in any niche.

How Do You Combat These Fraudulent Feelings

Reframe Your Mind

It may be true that you might not be as good as you want, but you should not let it affect your competence and confidence.

Even the grand masters in every field still have feelings of insecurity.

It has been proven by psychologists that the Human mind emphasizes negativity more than positivity.

Humans tend to judge themselves more harshly and feel inadequate at times.

But the truth even the experts don't know it all, they still embark on constant education to improve themselves.

Feeling incompetent too has its advantage as it will constantly push you to improve yourself, people who don't feel incompetent will not see the need to improve themselves.

The key is not to allow the negative feelings dominate your thoughts and keep you demoralised.

Eliminating the feeling that you are a fraud is not realistic, but you just have to learn how to minimize it.

One of the most crucial things I tell people to possess is self awareness, and when they ask, I give them a simple defination.

Self Awareness is knowing the difference between who you are and who you wish you were.

You need to recognise and take control of your thoughts when these feelings arise and moderate them so you will not slip into wishful thinking.

You should also know that you are not the only one who suffers from this, there are plenty of people out there who feel this way too.

It is a mark of genius.

Have you experienced some degree of success in your business, music studio or even your Steemit blog?

Just acknowledge the fact that you played an active role in that success.

Maybe you have not gained the level of skill or knowledge you need before you see yourself as an expert.

Nevertheless, acknowledge the fact that you played an active part in your success and you did not just get lucky.

This is very empowering and plays a huge part in helping you eliminate self doubt

Away With The Ratios

Comparism is a old as Man himself, and the outburst of social media it has gotten worst over the years.

Even if we know that people live fake lives online it still doesn't eliminate the way we compare ourselves with others.

Always comparing yourself with others is very unhealthy to your self esteem and stifles creativity.

It us often a smokescreen, it can be somehow demoralizing when you see people in your space crushing it without any visible form of hindrance or mistakes.

It is often a figment of your imagination, everyone naturally puts his or her best foot forward and what you often see does not necessarily align with reality.

You have to know that everyone has their own struggles and no one has it good all round.

Although the accomplishment of others can be neccessary to serve as a form of motivation, but taking it in large doses can ultimately demoralize you.

You have to accept the fact that you are unique and can always bring something to the conversation.

Just never stop learning, because it is impossible to know everything.

You don't have to be a guru in your industry in order to provide great content, it simply involves some level of research and study.

You also have to acknowledge the fact that you may always make a mistake now and then, but rather than remaining stagnant you have to always embrace your mistakes and learn from them.

Focus On Your Work

One of the best way I am combating my negative feelings is actually going out there and making sure I am providing my audience with quality content.

So that is something i feel that can help you too, focus on creating real value and never undervalue your value.

Ignore that pending payout which does not reflect the amount of work you put into your content and just be ready to wake up the next day and do it all over again.

This will enable you provide amazing content without springing up feelings of inferiority.

Conclusion

The bottom line of this is for you to do away with feelings of inadequacy and focus on building your brand.

It is what will make you well known and bring you the rewards you so desire.

You have to develop a positive outlook of you and your destination, this will weaken your feelings of being a fraud or an imposter.

While using it as a fuel to maximize the quality of your work?
