Blockchain is Winning ( Upcoming Big projects using Block Chain)

in #blockchain8 years ago

It's no doubt that Block Chain is biggest achievement in tech after the Internet. We all are more or less familiar with this technology as we are reading this in the website built using block chain technology. It came into existence after the invention of Bitcoin back in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamato. You can read the original white paper here ( https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf ).

"Another day another use of blockchain" has become familiar phrase now. We all know that block chain has been used widely in different financial uses. There more hundreds of cryptocurrencies now that are using block chain technology. Ethereum came up with idea of "smart contract" and incorporating other data in the block chain and many people/business started developing it to make it's use in variety of real life cases.

It may be yet to proven that block chain will work perfectly in all the field it is being tested as it is only few years but there are hundreds of different research being carried on this technology and how to implement it in the real life. Here I am summarising five major use cases that will change the world using that technology.

  1. Aviation
Blockchain technology can play a vital role in Identity management, tokenising frequent flyer number, tokenising e-tickets.(https://www.internationalairportreview.com/news/26374/technology-revolutionise-aviation-2017/) More than this real cases, blockchain can be used in automation of different devices/machines used by airplanes and send datas to analysis and improvement.

  2. Logistics
The second largest port in Europe by container capacity is now running a pilot blockchain project focused on logistics
    automation.

Belgium-based Port of Antwerp has announced that it is looking to use the tech to automate and streamline the terminal's
container logistics operations. The test is being conducted in conjunction with a blockchain startup called T-Mining.

According to data from the World Shipping Council, the Port of Antwerp ranked fourteenth globally among container ports by
terminal capacity in 2015. It's also the second largest in Europe after Rotterdam, which has been testing blockchain for

    logistical purposes as well.

Samsung partnering with different korean shipping company has been testing this for a while to use blockchain technology in
shipping logistics industry to track imports, exports and the location of cargo shipments in real-time over a blockchain ledger.

  3. Government Works and Registry
Many European countries are already testing blockchain in different scenarios for government uses. In similar context, India is
already planning in to use the technology. Regional news source The Economic Times reports that the states of Andhra
Pradesh and Telangana are both exploring the use of the tech to digitally rework their land registries. In Telangana – with
support from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) – state officials are looking to apply blockchain to
the revenue department as well. [ http://www.coindesk.com/indian-states-look-launch-blockchain-land-registry-efforts/].

  4. Healthcare
Patientory(PTOY) already launched a ICO just couple of weeks earlier and gained big success. Many other health research groups are testing it and we should be seeing many health organisation following the similar pattern. Blockchain technology has been predicted to have the greatest impact on the future of the world economy," said Frank Wolfe, CEO of HFTP. "As the industry's nonprofit brain trust on finance and technology, it is incumbent on us to address the issue before blockchain reaches maturity and assembling a task force is the first step." Toronoto based Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) announced recently that it is organizing a Blockchain Technology Task Force to prepare for the technology's future impact on hospitality. 5. Financial
Although Blockchain came in to attraction after the bitcoin, many different currencies are out there with different features some better than bitcoin. Financial institution around the world are competing to get in to this technology and lead the competitions. Ripple has already started partnering with different bank around the world and has made it's own assest ripple. Many central banks from Asia and Europe are testing it too. Hedge funds and many wall street related companies are also in the game. Latest news is by Daimler AG and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW). "Daimler AG and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) for the first time have jointly used blockchain technology to execute a financial transaction. Daimler and LBBW successfully tested this innovative technology for capital markets in parallel with the process that is required by regulatory authorities. Through LBBW, Daimler launched a €100 million 1 year corporate Schuldschein within which savings banks (Kreissparkasse) Esslingen-Nürtingen, Ludwigsburg and Ostalb as well as LBBW acted as lenders. The entire transaction — from the origination, distribution, allocation and execution of the Schuldschein loan agreement to the confirmation of repayment and of interest payments — was digitally carried out via blockchain technology in cooperation with the IT subsidiaries TSS (Daimler) and Targens (LBBW)." Bonus : Proof of life

As you all know Most of the cryptocurrencies crashed recently and has just started to recover back followed by fake news of death of Vitalik Buterin, the creator of ethereum in a car crash. He used responded in a twitter post with a recent block number and corresponding hash.
