my start in investing in crypto

in #blockchain7 years ago (edited)

so im a new user when it comes to all that is out there and have been doing a good amount of research in to all of the many exploding cryptocurrency now a days with having invested into STEEM ETH and XMR with a little reserve of good ol' bitcoin. i have now taken a good hard look at how to mine for all of these for a profit and decided to go in and buy some decent hardware to build a gpu mining rig. all of my parts are in the mail right now and should be here tommorow and i want some help on miners for coins .

so far i have taken every unused laptop in my house and have put minergate on all of them and have been mining monero but it is SUPER slow (having only made less than a dollar in a few days) but i knew going in that they wouldn't be so great at it that it was just a start.

after getting that all up and running i started looking into some more legit miners like claymore for ethereum and more like that. i really enjoy how minergate works but it is a little too simplified for me. i would really like to have a program that could work at managing the miners in a gui format with more freedom to manipulate it a little like awesome miner for windows. im running on ubuntu 17.04 right now and have gotten many of the miners working but when i set up my new rig im going to put on a LTS version of ubuntu for a more stable os.

if anyone has any insight on how to improve my mining power without improving my computer and to keep all my miners and wallets in a nice management software it would be greatly appreciated with an upvote and i would gladly follow anyone with a better understanding of all of this than me.
